Useful Information

A day out on the water should be enjoyable. You check the latest marine forecast and it calls for fair conditions. You decide to set sail, but are you prepared if the conditions prove worse than forecasted? A marine forecast is given as the average conditions over a wide area, leaving a lot of interpretation to the end user. There are many factors that can cause a change in the weather compared to the forecast, such as; wind accelerating along a coastline, wind against a strong tide, a seabreeze bring a fog bank closer to the coast. We will analyze these and other effects to give you a more accurate idea of what to expect.
